Our #LatimerTalks host Aaron Roach Bridgeman has been up to some exciting stuff recently that definitely deserves a shout out! You may recognise Aaron from his Sky 1 show, ‘What’s Up‘, but more recently, he’s been receiving lots of praise for his documentary ‘One Punch Killers’ which aired on Channel 5 last month.
The documentary saw Aaron exploring some of the tragic consequences that a single punch on Britain’s streets can have on a person, whether intended or not. Hearing from some of the victim’s families, #OnePunchKillers really hits home how a simple blow can take a life and destroy a family forever. The feature also documents real testimonies of guilt and remorse from those who have punched and killed themselves.
If you missed it, you can catch up here.
The documentary received public approval from Reggie Yates, who commended Aaron’s work over Twitter. The tweet came three years after Aaron vowed to join Reggie on television following his criticism of being the only black face on prime time TV. It would appear that Aaron has followed through on his promise!
Aaron has come a long way since we took him, as part of a group from our talent network, up to Edinburgh TV Festival in 2014. He’s been presenting for the likes of SBTV and leading broadcasters such as Channel 5 and Sky. Needless to say we’re proud to see a Latimer family member doing such inspiring things! With another major documentary in the pipeline, we wish him every success and have no doubt Aaron has lots yet to come.
